Lori Kothe

Born and raised in Lorain, Lori met her husband Jon on their first day of high school.  They married  in 1991. Having lived in Vermilion for 25 years, Jon and Lori recently moved to Huron. Their son Matt lives in Vermilion, just a mere 8 minutes away from his Mom, a situation he handles with grace (and silence).

Lori holds a nursing diploma from M.B. Johnson School of Nursing, a BSN from Jacksonville University, and a Master’s of Science in Health Law from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. An RN for 30 years, Lori has worked clinically as a trauma critical care nurse and for the last 15 years in hospital administration focusing on Risk Management, Compliance, and Patient Safety/Quality. She is currently Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton.

The Koethe’s joined VBC in 1998. Prior to joining the Bridge, Lori served as Fleet Surgeon and Kids Committee Chair. Over the last 19 years, the Koethe’s have made many memories and lifelong friends at VBC. In the summer, you will find Lori and Jon on their new boat “Delta House” or sipping cocktails by the pool. Lori is proud to be only the fourth woman to go through the chairs and thrilled to share this experience with her best friends –Commodore Stacie Whitacre and Vice Commodore Jim Chapple.  Lori is especially thankful and grateful for the amazing Board, Officers and Club staff that have made her years on the Bridge such an enjoyable experience. Likewise, she is appreciative of the member support of efforts to continually enhance their experience at VBC.
