Greg Tilton

Greg Tilton enjoyed an adventurous childhood in central New Jersey with two brothers and three sisters. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. And his Master of Business Administration from Kent State University. A senior manufacturing executive, Greg has managed various manufacturing operations around the United States, Mexico, and Asia.

Greg and Gina married in 1993. They have three children: Amanda, Joe, and Kevin.  They relocated to Avon in 2000 for a position with US Cotton iin Cleveland.

Greg, Gina, and their three small children were new to boating in 2003 when they purchased a 23' Sea Ray Weekender. As the kids grew, the Sea Ray was traded for a Regal 3350 currently docked in slip 10A at VBC.

Dave Varga ViceCommodore

Dave Varga

Dave was raised in Vermilion and joined the VBC as a junior member in the mid 1980s. Dave graduated from Vermilion High School, erned his BA from Miami University, and MBA fro University of Cincinnati. Dave has worked in sales, organizational development and consulting spaces for several Fortune 500 companies. For the past 3 years, Dave has been a member of the key management team at American Greetings in Westlake.

A VBC Sail Camp graduate and sail camp counselor for 8 summers, Dave enjoys sailing and won a Tartan 10 National Championship aboard the Liquor Box.Dave also enjoys power boating and has had many "ridiculously fun and memorable times" aboard: Interim, Smile, Renegade, Rampage, etc. Dave also enjoys hangin out at VBC with old friends and making new ones.  He also serves on the board of Vermilion Sail Education Foundation.

Jenn Casey

Jenn Casey ha been envolved with the Vermilion Boat Club since 2009, and has enjoyed every minute of it.  From thhe early days of learning to bread fish to helping run youth and adult sailing regattas at VBC, Jenn enjoys all aspects of the club and is committed to making VBC the best place it can be. The sustainability of our club and the development of young yachtsmen and yachtswomen are important to Jenn. She also appreciates the Value of VBC in our larger Lake Erie community.

Jenn grew up in Cincinnati and moved to Lake Erie in 2005. She is a member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club and Catawba Island Club, and enjoys the similarities and differences to the VBC. She fell in love with Vermilion and moved to town officially in 2013. She enjoys all aspects of boating, sailing, and life on the water. Jenn appreciates and values this community and is fortunate to call it home.

Jenn is a family physician and Chief Medical Officer for Lorain County Health and Dentistry, our areas community health center. She has served on many health department boards locally and nationally. Jenn is also a board member of the Firelands Symphony. She has served as the Food and Beverage Trustee in the past, and more recently is member of VBC's Leukemia Cup Organizing Committee. Jenn was fortunate to represent VBC in 2018 at the National Leukemia Cup celebration when our club was recognized as 9th in the nation for donations to fight blood cancersI

Jenn looks forward to all that lies ahead fo VBC and is honored to serve on the Bridghe as we grow and improve togeather.

Jim Chapple

Jim Chapple is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Teacher Education at Ashland University and also serves as the Faculty Mentor and Field/Partnership Coordinator. Jim's area of focus is working with children, teachers, and families of children with exceotional learning needs. He worked as a consultant for Squire, Patton, Boggs Law Firm in cases involving special education. Having been in the education field for 48 years, Jim has worked as a teacher, building princapal, Director of Special Education, an educational consultant as welll as a professor.

Jim has been boating in Vermilion since 1954 when his parents started cruising on Lake Erie and he currently has a 20' Sea Ray. As a Vermilion resident, Jim is on the City Planning Commision, and is a member of the Vermilion Rotary. Jim has one son, Joshua, who lives in Conifer, Colorado. Having been a member of VBC since the late 1970s, Jim feels "at home" with his VBC family.

Brian Sullivan, VBC Club Manager

Brian Sullivan

Brian enters his ninth year at VBC after spending 10 years as General Manager of Rawiga Country Club in the Medina area. He previously served as the Associate Commissioner of the Westlake based North Coast Atlantic Conference, and as Sports Information Director at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.  He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from The College of Wooster and a master’s degree in economics from Kent State University.  Brian and his lovely wife Kim reside in Huron with their beautiful daughters Alayna and Ava.
