Jenn Casey ha been envolved with the Vermilion Boat Club since 2009, and has enjoyed every minute of it. From thhe early days of learning to bread fish to helping run youth and adult sailing regattas at VBC, Jenn enjoys all aspects of the club and is committed to making VBC the best place it can be. The sustainability of our club and the development of young yachtsmen and yachtswomen are important to Jenn. She also appreciates the Value of VBC in our larger Lake Erie community.
Jenn grew up in Cincinnati and moved to Lake Erie in 2005. She is a member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club and Catawba Island Club, and enjoys the similarities and differences to the VBC. She fell in love with Vermilion and moved to town officially in 2013. She enjoys all aspects of boating, sailing, and life on the water. Jenn appreciates and values this community and is fortunate to call it home.
Jenn is a family physician and Chief Medical Officer for Lorain County Health and Dentistry, our areas community health center. She has served on many health department boards locally and nationally. Jenn is also a board member of the Firelands Symphony. She has served as the Food and Beverage Trustee in the past, and more recently is member of VBC's Leukemia Cup Organizing Committee. Jenn was fortunate to represent VBC in 2018 at the National Leukemia Cup celebration when our club was recognized as 9th in the nation for donations to fight blood cancersI

Jim Chapple is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Teacher Education at Ashland University and also serves as the Faculty Mentor and Field/Partnership Coordinator. Jim's area of focus is working with children, teachers, and families of children with exceotional learning needs. He worked as a consultant for Squire, Patton, Boggs Law Firm in cases involving special education. Having been in the education field for 48 years, Jim has worked as a teacher, building princapal, Director of Special Education, an educational consultant as welll as a professor.
Jim has been boating in Vermilion since 1954 when his parents started cruising on Lake Erie and he currently has a 20' Sea Ray. As a Vermilion resident, Jim is on the City Planning Commision, and is a member of the Vermilion Rotary. Jim has one son, Joshua, who lives in Conifer, Colorado. Having been a member of VBC since the late 1970s, Jim feels "at home" with his VBC family.
